Procedure Details
Woman has Breast Cancer
SOCAL Woman has Breast Cancer
After being diagnosed with breast cancer, she learned she had a genetic mutation that increased her risk of breast cancer in the other breast so she underwent bilateral simple mastectomies by her breast surgeon and immediate insertion of tissue expanders as the first stage of reconstruction. After expansion was completed the expanders were replaced with permanent silicone implants.
