Woman has abdominoplasty
Patient presented for evaluation for abdominoplasty of the abdomen after massive weight loss of greater than 100 lbs. She was unhappy with the abdominal skin excess and lipodystrophy and desired to improve her abdominal contour. The after pictures below are 28 days from abdominoplasty. She had a quick recovery, and has returned to all her lifestyle activities. She returned to work 3 days after the surgery. PROCEDURE DETAILS: extended abdominoplasty with umbilical transposition, without rectus plication. Approximately 1200 grams of skin and fat were removed. 2 abdominal drains were removed 2-3 weeks after the surgery.
